Some of the first recordings out of the studio that would later evolve into the Empire of Thumptruck, Oscar and Zelda cut their audio teeth on a 4-track, recording many wonderous and experimental musical oddities. That the band was named after several squirrels did nothing to dampen the band's popularity on college radio. With a revolving cast of players, Oscar and Zelda was doomed to inconsistently but the band's songs live on here, in relative obscurity, waiting for a resurrection back into the pop music culture they helped define.
